Precision Electro-Acoustic Engineering, Premium Birch Enclosures & High-Performance Transducers for Concert Sound and Large Scale Venues

The Physics and Engineering Behind Dual 12-inch Line Array Systems

The La212 Dual 12 line array speaker represents the peak of acoustic performance in large-format sound reinforcement. Unlike conventional point source speakers, a true line array relies on the physical coupling of sound waves to project acoustic energy over massive distances with minimal dispersion loss. In the near field, sound waves from a line array propagate spherically at a lower rate of pressure loss (3 dB reduction per doubling of distance compared to 6 dB in point-source arrays).

For an OEM partner or global exporter, delivering an authentic La212 enclosure involves deep technical integration. The dual 12-inch low-frequency drivers must operate within a precise tuning range, typically between 45 Hz and 800 Hz. Our engineers utilize advanced phase-plugs and symmetrical driver placement to optimize horizontal dispersion and prevent lobing. Our custom waveguides shape the high-frequency exit from dual compression drivers into a flat, coherent wavefront, achieving the high acoustic pressure required for large venues.

Critical Wavefront Integration: Achieving vertical coherence requires the path length difference from the acoustic driver to the exit aperture to be less than half a wavelength at the highest crossover frequency (typically 16 kHz), requiring CNC machining tolerances of less than 0.1 mm within the horn assembly.

Our History: Engineering Roots Dating Back to 1999

Established in 2010, TACA Pro Audio (marketed worldwide as TACT Pro Audio) was founded by industry pioneers Mr. Qiu and Mr. Li, who have been active sound engineers and acoustic researchers since the late 1999s. Drawing on more than two decades of technical expertise, Qiu and Li continue to lead the TACT team in developing next-generation audio solutions.

Our facility covers more than 18,000 square meters. We run an integrated production line including our own speaker cabinet production workshop, polishing workshop, painting workshop, assembly workshop, and advanced electro-acoustic testing rooms. Our office building also features a comprehensive products showroom, a KTV experience room, and international sales offices to support our partners worldwide.

Industrial Rigging Standards: The TACT line array suspension rigging system is crafted from high-tensile structural steel, tested using finite element analysis (FEA) to maintain safety factor ratings up to 7:1 for up to 16 suspended enclosures.

Global Applications & Solutions Architecture

Designing audio systems to meet the unique challenges of different acoustic environments and venues

Stadiums & Arenas

Large-scale sports venues need high output and directional control to minimize acoustic reflections off concrete walls. The La212's 90-degree horizontal dispersion helps cover spectator seating while limiting sound bleed onto the playing field.

Outdoor Festivals

Outdoor concerts require consistent sound coverage over long distances. High-frequency waveguides allow configurations that minimize phase interference, maintaining vocal clarity even in windy conditions.

Theatres & Auditoriums

Performing arts spaces value neutral sound reproduction and clean aesthetics. The La212 system's linear response delivers clear speech and music reproduction across all seating tiers.

Technical Roadmap: Networked Audio Control

Professional sound systems are moving toward networked audio ecosystems. Our development pipeline focus on integrating DSP systems that support standard industry protocols like Dante and AVB, allowing audio technicians to manage and adjust line arrays remotely via simple network setups.

Additionally, we work with software integrations that allow sound designers to import EASE Focus files directly into our active systems, making venue setup and calibration faster and more precise.

Expert Knowledge Base & FAQ

Technical details, product selection advice, and support guidelines for acoustic engineers and distributors

What are the primary sonic advantages of the Dual 12-inch configuration (La212) over dual 10-inch or dual 8-inch systems?

Dual 12-inch woofers offer greater displacement area, improving low-mid frequency response down to 50 Hz. This enables a smoother transition to subwoofers and provides the headroom needed for high-energy music. Dual 8-inch or 10-inch configurations often struggle to reproduce the lower vocal register without clipping at high SPL.

How does TACT ensure the cabinets remain weatherproof during outdoor performances?

Our outdoor speakers feature a high-durability polyurea coating that seals the birch plywood panels against moisture and impact. The drivers are treated with water-resistant compounds, and the steel grille is backed by acoustically transparent hydrophobic foam to protect the internal components from rain.

What level of customization is available under your OEM program?

Our OEM program provides options for custom driver setups, passive or active configurations, custom crossover points, and specific brand logo printing. We can also adjust the physical rigging system and the cabinet paint color to match your venue's aesthetic.

What quality control steps are completed before shipment?

Every line array cabinet goes through structural testing, followed by acoustic response checks in our test rooms. This verifies that frequency response, sensitivity, and impedance curves match our reference design within strict limits. All rigging hardware is checked under tension before packaging.

What is the standard warranty and post-sale technical support policy?

We offer a standard warranty on all speaker drivers and electronic components. For large-scale projects, we provide complete system design and calibration support, including acoustic simulation assistance using EASE Focus 3 software to help configure coverage angles.
