High-Performance Acoustic Systems Design

How our B2 3400W subwoofers resolve acoustic challenges across massive venues and commercial environments.

Stadium Sound Dispersion

For arenas exceeding 20,000 capacity, maintaining solid sub-bass pressure without acoustic cancellation is a primary challenge. Our dual-driver 3400W configurations are modeled mathematically to maximize boundary loading and wave coherence.

  • Optimized dispersion geometries.
  • Minimizes comb-filtering near boundary walls.
  • Delivers high Sound Pressure Level (SPL) over extended distances.

Cardioid Array Engineering

Large stages require controlled low frequencies to keep vocal microphones free of rumble. By combining our 3400W subs in gradient and end-fire arrays, we create up to 25dB of rear rejection, protecting stage artists.

  • Strictly controlled rearward bass bleed.
  • Phase-aligned system presets via integrated DSP.
  • Clean front-of-house low-end projection.

Thermal Integrity & Durability

Continuous 3400W peak operation generates substantial heat in the speaker motor structure. Our custom cooling vents and heat-dissipating neodymium voice-coil configurations maintain reliable output over long durations.

  • Sub-2dB power compression profiles.
  • Force-induction venting for coil cooling.
  • Double-silicon suspensions prevent excursion damage.

B2 3400W Subwoofer Technical Overview

A deep technical examination of structural design, transducer physics, and custom electronics.

Transducer Material Science

The core of a 3400W subwoofer relies on its cone composition and voice coil engineering. We utilize a proprietary composite blend of carbon fiber and long-fiber paper pulp, reinforced with an epoxy coating. This yields a lightweight cone that maintains stiffness under extreme atmospheric pressure without flexing or warping, preventing harmonic distortion.

Our voice coils are manufactured with high-temperature copper cladding wrapped on glass-fiber formers, rated to withstand temperatures up to 250°C. Coupled with double-silicon spiders and an optimized BL curve, the linear excursion is maintained within safe parameters even during peak power spikes, ensuring low distortion and steady bass output.

Acoustic Cabinet Enclosure Tuning

We construct our enclosures from multi-layered birch plywood, ranging from 18mm to 24mm in thickness. Internal bracing is modeled in CAD to minimize panel resonance that can color mid-bass and cancel low frequencies. We apply a textured, weather-resistant polyurea coating to withstand heavy use on tour and in outdoor venues.

The cabinet's port design uses large-area laminate vents to reduce air turbulence and port noise. Under high pressure, standard ports can choke, leading to bass loss and physical distortion. Our aerodynamic vent configuration ensures smooth airflow, resulting in clean, punchy low-end down to 30Hz.

Application Scenarios

B2 3400W Subwoofers in Practical Use

Tailoring high-power low-frequency energy to diverse application requirements.

House of Worship (HoW)

Modern worship services demand clear, high-fidelity sound, reproducing delicate speech alongside dynamic live music. Our B2 subwoofers supply clean, low-end extension without muddying the vocal range, keeping the sound balanced and pleasant for the congregation.

Nightclubs & EDM Venues

For electronic dance music venues operating up to 10 hours continuously, subwoofers must sustain intense low frequencies. Our 3400W peak systems deliver high SPL in the 30Hz-80Hz band, providing the deep bass energy that dancefloors require.

Outdoor Concert Festivals

Outdoor festivals lose low-frequency energy quickly without boundaries like walls to contain it. In these environments, our dual 18-inch 3400W systems are configured in arrays to project bass efficiently over long distances, even in open-air venues.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Technical and commercial answers for acoustic consultants, distributors, and rental system integrators.

What is the difference between RMS and Peak Power ratings (e.g., 3400W)?
RMS (Root Mean Square) represents the continuous power a subwoofer can handle over long periods. Peak power (3400W) represents the maximum power the speaker can handle in short bursts without damage. This headroom is necessary to reproduce musical transients cleanly and without distortion.
Why choose Baltic birch plywood over MDF for subwoofer enclosures?
Baltic birch plywood is stronger, lighter, and more moisture-resistant than MDF. It holds up well to transport and road use. Acoustically, it has a high stiffness-to-weight ratio, which reduces cabinet wall resonance and helps keep the bass clean and punchy.
What custom finishes are available for OEM projects?
We provide a tough, weather-resistant polyurea coating as our standard finish. For indoor installations like KTVs and clubs, we can also offer custom textured paint in various colors, fiberglass coatings, or custom wood finishes to match the venue's design.
How does TACT handle quality control for large-scale batches?
Our quality control process starts at the material stage, testing voice coil impedance and cone stiffness. Assembled drivers undergo swept-sine testing to check frequency response, impedance, and rub-and-buzz. Finished cabinets are tested in our listening room before packaging to ensure performance matches our design standards.
What is your typical lead time for OEM/ODM orders?
Standard OEM production runs take 30 to 45 days after design approval and deposit. For complex ODM designs requiring custom molds or unique components, the initial prototyping stage takes 4 to 6 weeks, followed by normal production timelines.
